BABG Demand’s for inclusion of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Graduates in the post of “Scientific Officer” from the very recent circular of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute

A very recent circular (dated: 31.08.2023) in reference with 12.21.0000.005.11.002.23.1062 from Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has been drawn the attention of Bangladesh Association of Biotechnology Graduates (BABG).

For the position of “Scientific Officer”, BARI has given the applying opportunity to the agriculture, microbiology and biochemistry graduates while the biotechnology graduates are deprived from their right. It’s a matter of great sorrow and frustrating and awful.

BABG’s President Dr. Muhammad Sougatul Islam and General Secretary Md Mehadi Hasan Sohag jointly signed a letter for demanding the inclusion of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Graduates in the post of “Scientific Officer”.

They uttered that, despite BARI has a research division named “Biotechnology”, but in the circular biotechnology graduates aren’t welcomed. It is nothing but a clear discrimination to the thousands of biotechnology graduates across the country.

BABG would like to draw the attention to the authority to take the necessary steps for the inclusion of biotechnology graduates and give the re-circular for the post of “Scientific Officer”.
